Glass Harmonica

G.F.I. has been producing Gerhard Finkenbeiner's patented quartz glass armonicas for nearly 30 years. In honor of Mr. Finkenbeiner's legacy, improvements continue to be added to the process in accordance with his dreams of breathing new life into Franklin's musical invention. An investment in a pure quartz instrument is an investment in the highest quality armonica created to date. The glass used to make the Finkenbeiner Glass Harmonicas is pure quartz (fused silica) and contains no lead. Quartz is one of the most fascinating materials available today. It is composed of greater than ninety-nine percent pure silicon dioxide, producing the purest tones available in glass. Natural quartz crystals are pulverized and purified to create each cup in all of our instruments. Once these cups are hand tuned to the proper note and the sharps are gold lustered, these instruments require no professional maintenance for ten to fifteen years and will never go out of tune. Instruments are completely assembled with motor and speed control. All instruments come with a self-instruction manual either in English or German. Listed below is a set of pre selected ranges. If you have a specific range in mind, let us know.
